Paul Pierce had a courtside seat for one of the games of the year earlier this week and he shared his insights in the latest episode of KG Certified.

The Truth was in the building as the Celtics took down the Lakers 122-18 in overtime behind 44 points from Jayson Tatum and he joined KG to talk about what he saw, first noting that the league’s oldest rivalry still has the heat it did when they played.

“It’s still got that energy,” he said. “When you get Lakers-Celtics it’s always going to be that energy. Always. It’s never-ending. It doesn’t matter what place each team is in as far as a contender or the level each team is playing at that the time. That game is always going to be, people are going to watch and look at it like a playoff type game. That game gave me everything. Tatum going off. Brown going off. LeBron at his best. AD at his best. Celtics up 20. Celtics down 10. That rivalry brings out the best in everybody. It was everything you wanted. Then it went overtime. Emotional rollercoaster.”

Watch Ticket and Truth talk about how the Celtics are persevering through the toughest part of their schedule, KD and the Nets, Kawhi and the Clippers, and answer fan questions in the latest episode below.
