The Finals MVP who brought home Banner 17, no Boston Celtics team would be complete without Paul Pierce.

The Truth was one of 15 players selected to the recently announced 75th Anniversary All-Celtics team, as the NBA charter franchise celebrates its 75th anniversary in the same years as the league’s 75th anniversary celebration.

The team was determined by a vote of fans, which was weighted at 50 percent as well as a combination of media members and team historians, selected for their expertise, knowledge, and experience with and around the franchise. Their determinations were also weighted at 50 percent. The result was a 15-man team comprised completely of members of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and holding a combined 64 NBA Championships. All 17 Celtics championship teams are represented on the team.

Joining Paul on the team were his former teammates Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen, as well as legends Bill Russell, Larry Bird, Bob Cousy, Dave Cowens, John Havlicek, Tommy Heinsohn, Dennis Johnson, Sam Jones, Kevin McHale, Robert Parish, Bill Sharman and Jo Jo White.

“Considering how many world class players have worn a Celtics uniform, selecting our all-time team is yet another reminder of the incredible legacy and singular place in the NBA that the franchise holds,” Celtics President Rich Gotham said.

Twelve of the 15 players on the 75th Anniversary All-Celtics team are part of the NBA’s 75-man 75th Anniversary Team, which will be honored at NBA All-Star Weekend later this month.
