Just a few months before he is eligible for the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, Paul Pierce got another Hall of Fame call this week.

The Truth was chosen on Sunday as a member of the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2021. The event, to be held next November in Kansas City will be a homecoming of sorts for the Kansas Jayhawks legend.

During his three years down the road in Lawrence, Kansas, Truth made a major impact on a perennially great Jayhawks hoops program. He averaged 16.4 points and 6.4 rebounds per game, including a junior season average of better than 20 points per game that propelled him to be a Top 10 pick in the NBA Draft that summer. During Paul’s time in Lawrence, the Jayhawks were three-time conference champs, won the conference tournament title twice and made it as far as the Elite Eight.

Joining Paul in the College Hoops Hall Class of 2021 are the late Len Bias (Maryland), David Greenwood (UCLA), Hersey Hawkins (Bradley),  Jim Jackson (Ohio State), Antawn Jamison (North Carolina) as well as coaches Rick Byrd and Tom Penders.
