After resigning from his position of president of basketball operations with the Los Angeles Lakers, Magic Johnson has not been holding back any comments about the dysfunction of the organization.

Johnson went on ESPN’s First Take and criticized many members of the front office and the disorganization that led to his resignation. If these comments came from someone else, they may not have meant as much, but since it is coming from one of the Lakers’ all-time greats, Paul Pierce believes this will hurt the Lakers’ moving forward in free agency.

“He’s just confirming what we all thought and what we all heard. When you’re trying to move forward as an organization, there can’t be any disconnect between your president, your GM and your owner,” Pierce said. “As far as moving forward, this was a big blow to the Lakers.”
