Bradley Beal recently told The Athletic that he thinks he is the second best shooting guard in the NBA, behind only James Harden. He believes his individual numbers support that claim, although his team’s lack of success this season may damage his chances at an All-NBA selection this year.

Paul Pierce, a former teammate of Beal’s, believes that Beal should be in consideration for an All-NBA team and recognized as one of the league’s top shooting guards. But Pierce also believes that Beal’s numbers would have to be extraordinary to offset the team’s lack of winning.

“If he was 14 games under .500, but he was averaging 35 points per game,” Pierce said, “that’s putting in some work. There’s only two guys I can think of that will make All-NBA with a bad team right now and that’s probably Anthony Davis and Karl-Anthony Towns.”‘
