The San Antonio Spurs have made the playoffs in each of the last 21 seasons, but after going 1-7 on their recent Rodeo Road Trip, Gregg Popovich’s team is in jeopardy of missing the playoffs as they have fallen all the way to eighth in the Western Conference standings.

Despite their recent struggles, they do have plenty of homes games and weaker opponents upcoming as they look to finish the season. That, coupled with teams below them struggling simultaneously are two big reasons why there is still plenty of hope for the Spurs to continue their playoff streak.

“At first, I thought they should be worried, but this is (Gregg) Popovich, and the teams under them, I’m not so confident in, Minnesota, Sacramento, Lakers,” Pierce said. “I think they’re a lock.”
