Kristaps Porzingis made headlines this week when he was surprisingly dealt to the Dallas Mavericks in a blockbuster trade along with Courtney Lee and Tim Hardaway Jr. Porzingis had voiced his frustrations with New York Knicks’ management, prompting the trade.

Now that the dust has settled, Paul joined The Jump to discuss what Porzingis’ future could look like in a Dallas uniform. Although he likely won’t play this season due to his recovery from injury, Mark Cuban said he hopes Porzingis, along with Luka Doncic are the franchise’s cornerstones for the next two decades. The Truth believes this is a better situation than New York for Porzingis because it is a much better-run franchise.

“This is just a better run organization. Period,” Pierce said. “The success that Dallas has had over the last 20 years, it speaks for itself, so this is definitely a great spot for (Porzingis). He has Luka Doncic to build around. They’re starting to look like a San Antonio Spurs franchise built around international players.”
