The Lakers have slipped in the standings since Christmas Day when LeBron James suffered an injury that has kept him sidelined since, and they will have ground to make up once he returns to the lineup.

Whether that be pursuing Anthony Davis or Bradley Beal, the Lakers could likely use another veteran star to push them over the top and closer to an NBA title.
