Jayson Tatum impressed in the NBA’s first game of the season on Tuesday night, a 105-87 victory for the Boston Celtics over the Philadelphia 76ers. Tatum’s 23 points led the way for a talented Celtics roster that is starting to make some people believe they are ready to win a title now.

To make that a reality, the young talent is going to have to step up, including Tatum, but if Tuesday night was any indication, Tatum is in line for a stellar sophomore campaign. Despite being one of the youngest players on the roster, Tatum is ready to contribute in a big way right now.

“(Tatum) could easily fall into the cracks. They have so much talent,” Pierce said. “It’s easy to get lost in the shuffle with so much talent to where you really can’t show who you really are. But, I think he’s going to do this all year long, and it’s going to be key (for the Celtics).”
