Paul Pierce has acknowledged that with the season LeBron James is having at the age of 33, it is fair to say he is the MVP, but what James Harden is doing in Houston is something special.

“Without a doubt, LeBron puts up numbers, even last year his numbers were great, you can give him MVP pretty much every year.”

The MVP award is highly subjective, and Harden is leading the Houston Rockets to the number one seed in the tough Western Conference.

Pierce states, “Best player on the best team.” James Harden fits the criteria and should be this year’s MVP.

With that being said, Pierce always gives credit to King James:

“Historically when its all said and done, he will be up there with Michael Jordan.”

As the season winds down and the playoffs intensify, James Harden has the potential to finally get his coveted MVP award.

“It’s rewarding that he gets it this year.”
