Blake Griffin was recently traded from the Los Angeles Clippers to the Detroit Pistons. Griffin, who has done so much for the Clippers organization, was surprised to see the trade.

Griffin wasn’t the only one surprised, Paul Pierce claims the entire league was.

“I think that shocked a lot of us around the NBA world.”

Pierce states that there wasn’t much talk about that trade possibly happening and then it came out of nowhere to shock a lot of people.

Pierce also believes that the Clippers got the edge in the trade because now they have a lot more “flexibility” to work with developing younger players.

“You look at the Clippers and they weren’t going to be in the top 4. They weren’t beating Golden State.”
