Kawhi Leonard has undoubtedly been one of the best players in the NBA in recent years, and he has had his share of success against LeBron James. As a member of the San Antonio Spurs, Kawhi won a Finals MVP at the expense of James and the Miami Heat. In addition, Leonard pushed James and the Heat to seven games a year prior, a series that required a near-miracle for the Heat to pull off.

Leonard owns a career 15-8 record against James, and Kawhi has won the last five meetings. Ahead of the Battle for Los Angeles, the NBA Countdown crew discussed whether Kawhi is LeBron’s greatest rival, and The Truth believes that he is James’ toughest opponent.

“Kawhi is his ultimate nemesis, and to me, (Kawhi) is his biggest rival in the game,” Pierce said. “I know we’ve talked about other players in the past, but (Kawhi) is the only one that stood up to LeBron on both sides of the ball. And, he ha splayed in the Finals against him, and now they have a chance to play in the playoffs.”
