The Golden State Warriors picked up a Game 1 win over the Houston Rockets thanks to yet another dazzling offensive performance from Kevin Durant. His 35-point outing made all the difference in a tightly contested battle.

Paul Pierce joined The Jump to discuss how the Rockets can attempt to slow down Kevin Durant. While Paul doesn’t believe Houston can stop KD from making shots on the offensive end, he does believe Houston could try to force Durant to guard James Harden, which could potentially get Durant in foul trouble.

“There’s nothing you can do defensively,” Pierce said. “They can put (Durant) in situations where Houston has Durant guarding (James) Harden, a guy who gets fouled the most. So if you’re able to get (Durant) in foul trouble, that’s a way of slowing him down.”
