Truth, Jesus Grab a Miracle Win
by Shawanda Walker

When it was all said and done, Paul said it best on Twitter: "Man what a Game and Jesus Shuttleworth comes thru again."

No. 34 and teammate Ray Allen led Boston to a dramatic double overtime victory over the Charlotte Bobcats Wednesday night, 111-109.

Paul put up a game-high 32 points, six rebounds and four assists, going 10-11 from the free throw line, but this victory was, as they say, a total team effort.  Rajon Rondo hit two free throws at the end of regulation to send it into overtime. Sharp shooter Ray Allen hit a three to send the game into a double overtime.

And then, as the second overtime was winding down, the Captain drove to the basket and passed the ball to Allen, who canned an open three to win the game.

As the Boston Globe reported, the play spoke volumes about Paul and the way he feels about his teammates.

On the deciding play, Pierce drew two defenders and nearly a third as Wallace stepped away from Allen, then attempted to recover.

"I mean, when you have one of the greatest shooters to play the game, it's a no-brainer," Pierce said. "Maybe like three, four years ago, I would have penetrated into three guys and shot a bad shot over the defense. But I trust my teammates to the utmost. I drew the defense, Ray was wide open - regardless if he did airball the shot before that, I have total confidence in him."

FINISHING STRONG
The Truth and the Cs have won three straight and seven out of their last eight games. They have been able to grab Ws even with KG sidelined again with a sore right knee and most likely out until the playoffs.

"It's big, because we're building towards the playoffs,” Paul said to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. “These types of wins are necessary, especially if we look up and see that Orlando lost, if we're trying to get home court advantage to the second round, so all these games are big because we're building for the long-run."

This win, plus an Orlando loss to the Raptors on Wednesday, gives the Celtics the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference.

The Truth and the Cs have six games left in the regular season, four of which will be played in Boston.

THE POWER OF TWITTER
Jessica Camerato of WEEI.com's Green Street Blog posted a story on Thursday about the power of tweeting -- specifically, with regard to the Truth (www.twitter.com/paulpierce34).

Less than a week ago, Paul Pierce started a frenzy in Boston when he began offering up Celtics tickets on Twitter. Since then, fans have been heading to the TD Banknorth Garden in hopes of snagging a hand delivered gift from Pierce. This was no joke — five lucky fans watched the Celtics beat the Oklahoma City Thunder from Pierce’s personal suite.

In just three days, Pierce’s invitation blew up all over the Internet.
