Join a Blood Drive, Save a Six-Year Old Girl's Life
by PaulPierce.net Staff

Six-year old Jasmina Anema is dying from leukemia, and her only chance of surviving rests on someone like you.

Jasmina, who lives in New York City, is suffering from a rare and aggressive form of the disease, and requires a bone marrow transplant. Without one, it is unlikely that she will survive much more than a month from now.

That task is made all the more difficult because Jasmina is African-American, and African-Americans are under-represented in worldwide donor registries.

"As a father myself, it is awful to see such a little girl have to fight such a challenging disease like leukemia," said Paul. "I encourage the African American community to join the National Registry to help children like Jasmina."

I am praying for Jasmina. No

I am praying for Jasmina. No baby should have to go through that. I love Paul Pierce on the court, but you are not just a good ball player, you are a beautiful person. It takes a wonderful person to help the way you are doing. It has nothing to do with fame. It has to do with the beautiful life of a little girl that you never even knew of until now. God is very proud of you right now.

Will there be future NYC Blood Drives for Jasmina? If so, when?
