The biggest decision of the 2020 NBA offseason belongs to the reigning NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo. To sign or not to sign, that is the question.

The Milwaukee Bucks are set to offer Giannis a Supermax contract extension that would guarantee him 221.6 million over a five-year span on top of the 27.5 million he is owed in 2020-21. Giannis has noted his loyalty to Milwaukee, but the 25-year-old also wants to compete for championships, something he has yet to do with the Bucks despite their regular season success. But while Jump host Jorge Sedano and reporter Jackie MacMullan believe

Antetokounmpo should wait for the Bucks to prove their commitment to winning before putting pen to paper, Paul Pierce believes those numbers are just too good to overlook.

“The Supermax is 200 and what? Man, without question,” The Truth said. “You play all your life to get to the point where you can secure that type of money for generations of your family. Yes, you do it…I know he’s competitive, he wants to win a championship. But a championship is not guaranteed. You could say I’m going to go here, sign for less for a chance to win a championship and never win. This contract in your face, $221 million, that’s guaranteed right there. You gotta take that.”
