Kevin Durant and the Warriors, it’s the divorce that won’t end.

The latest chapter was penned by Draymond Green, who used Maverick Carter’s Uninterrupted WRTS After Party to air some more grievances with the way KD handled his impending free agency, calling it the “elephant in the room” for the Warriors all season. On Tuesday’s episode of The Jump, Richard Jefferson took a stance in sharp criticism of Draymond’s comments while The Truth admitted he could actually see both sides of the situation and empathized with Green and his Golden State teammates, who were caught in a contract domino effect by Durant’s decision.

“Kevin Durant, he can make his decision whenever he wants to,” Paul said. “But I could see why Draymond would be a little bit aggravated. He knows at the end of the day that Kevin Durant’s decision really plays a part in what the Warriors would have done with [Draymond]. If Kevin Durant said he was going to come back, it affects Klay and Draymond and their contract situations because both of them had looming contract situations coming up…if you notice, right after Durant left, Draymond got the extension. He re-signed. So money had a lot to do with this at the end of the day.”

Watch Paul, RJ and Rachel Nichols discuss that domino effect and why KD re-signing with the Warriors may have left Dray on the outside looking in by the bay.
