Tony Parker’s recent jersey retirement prompted a discussion of some of the best all-time trios in NBA history on The Jump. The San Antonio Spurs trio of Parker, Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili stacks up against just about any other trio in the game. Their 701 wins together is the highest total by any trio in NBA history, and their consistency throughout their careers was perhaps even more impressive than their titles together.

Paul Pierce was a key member of a high-powered trio with the Boston Celtics, alongside Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen, and while he appreciates the greatness of the Spurs’ Big Three, he questions where they will end up in history because of their level of star power compared to other historical Big Threes.

“Bird, McHale, Parrish. Hall of Famers. Jordan, Rodman, Pippen. Hall of Famers,” Pierce said. “Tim Duncan’s going to be a Hall of Famer, possibly Manu Ginobili, but will Tony Parker be a Hall of Famer?”
