The Philadelphia 76ers lost in game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals this past season. However, going into the 2019-2020 season, their roster will look a little different. Most notably, both J.J. Redick and Jimmy Butler are no longer a part of the team after signing with other teams in free agency. But, the 76ers did acquire Josh Richardson as a part of Butler’s sign-and-trade, and they signed Al Horford to beef up the frontcourt.

After digesting these moves, Paul Pierce thinks that their projected lineup may not work in today’s NBA, which is predicated so much on three-point shooting and defensive versatility.

“I’m very concerned about this team because the thing I look at is fit,” Pierce said. “Now, with the way the NBA is going with stretch fours and shooting the three ball, you got Al Horford who obviously can knock down shots, but I like Tobias Harris at the four next to Embiid. I’m not sure if I like a lineup with Al Horford and Embiid (together).”
