This offseason changed the landscape of the entire NBA, and it created a battle in Los Angeles like never before. The Lakers acquired Anthony Davis to team up with Lebron in a blockbuster deal with the Pelicans, and the Clippers signed Kawhi Leonard and traded for Paul George.

The two All-Star duos not only share a city, but they both play in the Staples Center and Paul Pierce says the Clippers, who typically play the role of little brother to the Lakers, have the upper hand in the battle for L.A.

“There’s no question Kawhi and Paul George, I mean Paul George is coming off of an MVP caliber season, and we all know what Kawhi Leonard did in the playoffs and in the finals,” Pierce said. “Don’t take anything away from Lebron. Lebron is still great, AD is still great, but these guys are trending up. I mean, you got two of the top two defensive perimeter players in the game right now, one and two.”
