After Toronto’s Game 2 loss to the Golden State Warriors, Paul Pierce said he wanted to see more from Kyle Lowry and Danny Green, two veterans that will be key components in the Raptors’ success during the Finals. By their standards, they played poorly in Game 2, but they came ready to play in Game 3 in Oracle Arena.

Lowry dropped 23 points, including five three-pointers and nine assists and Green chipped in 18 points all coming on threes. The two combined to shoot 11-19 from downtown in a decisive 123-109 victory, propelled by a balanced offensive effort from Toronto.

“The two players I really called out the last game were Danny Green and Kyle Lowry. They stepped up tonight, and this is what you need from your role guys,” Pierce said. “You only go as far as your role players take you.”
