On a night where the rest of the Sixers starting lineup struggled mightily offensively, Jimmy Butler carried his team to a crucial Game 2 victory in Toronto.

The game was a battle all night long, and the Sixers outlasted the Raptors in large part because of Jimmy Butler’s clutch performance down the stretch to get the 94-89 win. While Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid are immensely talented, Butler has the experience and knows what it takes to win in the playoffs, which is why Paul Pierce believes he should be Philly’s go-to guy.

“Jimmy has to be their go-to guy,” Pierce said. “He’s the one guy who can create his own shot off the dribble or off the move. He can spot up. He can do so many different things that the other guys can’t do.”
