DeMarcus Cousins is getting ready to suit up for the Warriors later in January, adding yet another All-Star into the fold for the Golden State Warriors as they look for a third straight NBA title. On paper, this appears as if it will make the Warriors nearly impossible to beat come playoff time.

While it may take some time for him to acclimate to his new team and get up to game speed after his injury, he can be a valuable piece to a team that already boasts Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. He likely won’t need to put up the numbers he is accustomed to because of the talent around him, but he will be a much-needed boost to a thin Warriors roster. The key will be for Cousins to find his role within the star-studded lineup.

“He has to fall into a role here,” Pierce said. “You already have Curry, Durant, Klay. Obviously, they have set roles, and it’s been this way for years, so he has to try to find a way to fit in.”
