There has been recent speculation that Anthony Davis’ time in a New Orleans Pelicans’ jersey could be nearing an end. Potential suitors include the Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics, but obviously, New Orleans will likely do whatever they can to try to keep him in a Pelicans uniform.

One benefit the Pelicans have is that they can offer Davis a 5-year contract worth $235 million, which is about $30 million more than any other team can offer. However, Paul thinks even that may not be enough, suggesting that they need to add some serious talent around him to compel him to stay.

“They need to add another All-Star I believe,” Pierce said. “I think that’s it, I mean on top of, a quarter of a billion dollars doesn’t sound bad.”
