Jimmy Butler may not be satisfied in Minnesota, but he will be suiting up for the Timberwolves on Wednesday night as the team opens the season against the San Antonio Spurs.

Butler’s trade demands have been well-documented over the last several weeks, but if the Wolves can start hot this season, maybe the two sides can begin to settle some of their differences and turn things around in Minneapolis.

“Two or three weeks ago, you just thought there’s no way that Jimmy Butler would play another game for the Minnesota Timberwolves,” Pierce said. “If things go well early in the season, and they start playing well, they could mend the fences and have a great season.”
