Dwyane Wade rejoined the Miami Heat midway through last season, and many expect him to play again this season because he hasn’t announced any plans to retire, but he still has yet to re-sign with the Heat as training camp approaches.

Wade leads the Heat franchise in games played, points, assists, and steals and won three championships with the team, which is why Paul Pierce believes the team needs to re-sign him to let him finish his career where he belongs.

“I think it’s about the organization. He’s the greatest player in Heat history,” Pierce said. “This is a guy you’re going to praise for years and years to come. He brought championships there, he’s the greatest player in that uniform all-time. He deserves a farewell tour.”
