Paul Pierce explained the situation the Wizards will face when they finally get their All-Star point guard back from knee injury.

“They’re going to be more of an up-tempo team, they wont move the ball as much as they did because John likes to have the ball and make plays and rightfully so. He is an All-Star in this league a superstar in this league.”

The Wizards are in fifth place and sit at 40-30 and are 14-8 without Wall. Pierce knows you need your superstar to put you over the hump in this league.

“The wins are good now, the wins are piling up, but what is there ceiling for real? Without John Wall? I mean at least with John Wall you could say their ceiling could be a conference final?”

“Superstars are the ones who make the plays.”

Wall might be on a minute’s restriction to start, but no one knows best when it comes to figuring out how to fit in other than Pierce.

“He [John Wall] has to see what’s been working well while he’s been sitting out, you can learn a lot while you sit out.”
