After some early season struggles, the Cleveland Cavaliers find themselves in a comfortable position as the second best team in the Eastern Conference.

Paul Pierce believes that LeBron James and the change of position for Kevin Love have been the key.

As we have seen in the past, LeBron James has had heavy influence over the play selection his coaching staff runs toward the end of the game with the game on the line.

Paul is completely behind LeBron James wanting to run his play, overruling what his head coach might have had set up.

“You never want your star player to feel uncomfortable.”

PP also eluded to the idea of a star player having the right to tell his coach where he feels best and which play he thinks would be deemed as most successful with the game on the line.

Another recent success story for the Cavaliers has been Kevin Love. Love has moved back into the Center position with a recent injury plaguing Tristan Thompson.

Paul touched on Kevin Love and his new “home” at the center position.

“I truly believe it’s a home for him. The way he knows how to mix it up from rolling and popping.” Pierce said. “At the center position, there’s not a lot of dominant inside scoring threats.”
